There are lots methods to determine the structure of protein, but the most suitable is x-ray analysis. In general, x-ray crystallography comprises protein crystallography as a small, but very important segment. The protein is quite complicated substance that has ternary structure, but it's become known only after the research of the secondary structure of protein. Sometimes, on the basis of x-ray crystallography information it is possible do determine the protein quaternary texture, but it is not always the case. Sometimes protein shows its different properties, it depends on conditions. Folding of protein is the cardinal structural characteristic of protein molecule. In compliance with all theories, all data about protein folding is stocked in the protein primary texture, or in protein succession, that is why it is necessary to begin any protein function analysis from defining of succession of protein. When the origin of protein is fully researched, there will be a chance to define lots of different features of protein as classification of protein, protein role and others and just get known more about function of protein. Even having got a modern technologies and technical devices the main problem is not solved. There is some definite relations between the texture of protein and its basic structure, but they can not be described. Scientists managed to solve these problems only for the kind of proteins called peptides. The peptide classification is the domain that is well-learned. The peptide synthesis can be performed and even for various length of peptides.
Recently, the protein crystallography congress has taken place. All the data, achievements, problems of crystallography of protein can be found in the CCP4 Bulletin Board. All the messages of world-known scientists which were created during the conference are comprised into CCP4BB stock.
